And in 1999, Sir William was the leading sire in nation- the USEF Point Winner, but USEF started their awards the next year in 2000 (the winner that year was Triple Hill, who was beaten every time out by my yearling filly Sham's Sheer Elegance, who captured the PA Overall High Score Award, horses and ponies inclusive, and she was only a yearling- against all ages! A few Sir William Offspring Accomplishments: JLA Sir William is from the last foal crop bred by Jean Liseter Austin DuPont at her famous Liseter Hall Farm. Sir William comes from a truely exeptional family of champions who posess world renowned acclaim. Sir William is by the young champion stallion Liseter Eagle and out of the many time champion mare and Jean DuPont's personal favorite pony Liseter Gladness, whose other offspring include the champion mare Liseter Sweetheart, Liseter Star Gladly, Liseter Star Happy, Liseter Spring Songstress, Liseter Joyful, and many more! As written in the WPCSA yearbook regarding the final auction at Liseter Hall Farm: "Among the famous mares the farm has used: Coed Coch Pelen, Revel Jennifer, Coed Coch Sigldin, LiseterGlyndwr Gay and Liseter Gladness. The Lines of Liseter Gladdness produced the top selling animals of the Liseter Hall sale. Liseter Merry Lad by Liseter Reveler and out of a Gladness daughter brought the high price of the day comming in at an even $90,000. High selling weanling was Gladdness' foal L.Sweetheart at $4,000. High selling yearling was the filly L. Joyful (out of Gladness) at $21,000. High selling 2yr old was the filly L. Spring Songstress (out of Gladness) at $20,000."
